In presenting the Bill titled An Act to provide a sum of money from the Consolidated Fund for the Financial Year 2026/2027 and to allocate the said money for specific purposes, the Minister at The Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy stated, The budget theme for the five-year period starting from the Financial Year 2026/2027 to 2030/2031 is 'Bersama Menjayakan Wawasan Brunei 2035' or 'Together to Achieve Wawasan Brunei 2035'. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd. Amin Liew bin Abdullah, also shared the journey towards achieving the goals of Wawasan Brunei 2035, including in the aspect of health.

Based on data in 2024, life expectancy at birth reached around 79.1 years, indicating a continuous improvement in access to healthcare and quality of life. The Infant Mortality Rate remained low at an estimated 11.4 per 1 thousand births, demonstrating the effectiveness of immunisation programmes, antenatal and neonatal care and early treatment of diseases. The Under-5 Mortality Rate was also at a controlled level which is around 14 per 1 thousand births, demonstrating the success of integrated health interventions for children and mothers. Besides that, Brunei Darussalam also continues to emphasise the quality of life, welfare and well-being of the people, where the coverage of Electricity and Water supply in Brunei Darussalam has reached 99.9 percent.
